Wonderful weekend or vacation home in Mexico. This 3 Bedroom home is ½ of a duplex is located in the sleepy little town of Cholla Bay on the edge of Puerto Penasco. Walking distance to JJ’s Cantina and local restaurants, it is perfect for your family and friends if you want to be close to Puerto Penasco, but have the privacy and some peace and quiet when you are ready to call it a day.
Steps from the water, straight down from the house is a small swimming area that only the locals (as in those who own homes here) use. It’s like a private swimming area with a great place to hunt for sea life mixed in!
The second floor is reserved for the owners weekend use and there is seldom anyone there so you would likely have the place to yourself. The property manager lives next door and the owner is available by cell phone if there are any problems and both are absolutely willing to provide recommendations on places to visit, eat, or shop.
The second floor balcony provides wonderful views of the bay with dolphins, seals, and even whales (not often on the whales) swimming past, birds feeding on schools of fish, or sea hawks perched on the power poles calling to each other. Watch the fisherman. both local and sport fisherman, go out in the morning, motoring into the sunrise and then return in the afternoon with their boats full. See the unique boat launchers drive out into the bay to allow the boats to launch, the driver sits 8 feet above the wheels and the water is almost to his feet at times launching big boats. A stainless steel grill and patio table can be found to host BBQ’s and provide a great view for lunch or dinner. When the sun goes down, this is an amazing place to watch the stars.
The first floor area for rent has a full kitchen with all the amenities of home; coffee pot, microwave, fridge, pots and pans, plates, silverware, etc. The living room has a couch and loveseat along with chairs and a TV with Amazon Prime, DVD Player, & WIFI.
AC/Heat included and ceiling fans throughout including in the bedrooms. We offer WIFI for your electronic fix after a fun day of swimming in the bay or shopping and dining at the Malecón (Fish Market) or for streaming your favorite movies via Amazon, Netflix, Hulu or other service.
There are 3 bedrooms with Bedroom #1 having a Queen size bed, #2 has two Queen size beds, and #3 has a King size bed. Towels, linens, and pillows are included along with extra linens if needed. he duplex sleeps a total of 10 guests with beds and hide-a-bed.
Come and enjoy the sun, sand and fun. While here in Rocky Point, you can rent a quad, go sight seeing in a plane, go parasailing, deep sea fishing, ocean tours, zip-line and so much more.
One row off of the Cholla Bay shoreline with a Southwestern exposure. Great views of the sunsets. Close to JJ S Cantina, fishing, scuba diving, paddle boarding, swimming, snorkeling, and great off roading. 10 minutes to Puerto Penasco and some of the best REAL Mexican food you can find. Great swim/snorkeling/beach wildlife spotting area is 100 yards from the house that is only used by the individuals who own houses in this immediate area. There are even stairs leading down to the rocks.
1/4 mile away is a more standard beach where the local Mexican nationals go (Tucson Beach) where dogs can be walked/run, swimming, snorkeling. Pelican Point is a short distance up the beach from there with a huge tide pool with octopus, fish, pelicans (of course), seagulls, snails, crabs, anemones, sea cucumbers, and more! When the tide is out you can walk for miles across the bay looking for interesting shells, crabs, snails, clams, mussels, or other sea life. Great fishing village has the freshest seafood around, has all the amenities of a large tourist destination without the large tourist traffic.
