Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The building is beautiful, located in a small old-style village on the bank of the river. It's very quiet at night. The views from the windows are beautiful, rooms are big and well furnished. The style of the building and the lobby is that of an old Chinese-style house, it has a cozy atmosphere. The staff are friendly and speak English and Mandarin. There's no lift - but that's understandable in that type of building. The staff helped me with my suitcases.

Negative: The breakfast is very weak, two slices of toast bread, small plastic packet with butter (the one I got the second day was do old, it turned rubbery and was unedible). A few fruits and one fried egg - this one I only got the first day. I get it that they may not have a proper kitchen, but in if that's the case, they shouldn't offer a breakfast at all. It's also quite cold during winter season, no central heating - it's common in China, but important to note for those traveling in winter. No tea, coffee or even a cup to use in my room, but there was a kettle.
