Positive: Yizhi hotel is spelled ethic on their sign boards. If taking subway, get off at huangsha station and walk towards f exit. At f follow the underground tunnel. It's a short walk but no escalator or lift. Once you exit the tunnel. Turn right and cross the zebra crossing. You will see a signboard to echic hotel. Follow it and look for the famous huangsha stone arch. Hotel is right next to it, on 6th floor. You can enjoy dim sum on 4th floor too. Lucky for us the seafood market is closed so no more smells. The receptionists are friendly. Some speaks Cantonese. Mr Lui is exceptional, courteous manager. We will go back to yizhi whenever we visit Guangzhou fr now on. I suggest taking taxi to and from airport if you have heavy luggage. It's really affordable and less than 80 yuan for us. Breakfast is typical Guangzhou local breakfast... Street food style. They do have eggs, bread n butter n jam, salad and oranges. We are so full every night fr all the lovely food that we hardly eat anything for breakfast. Guangzhou is a gourmet city. Roast goose, duck, steamed dim sum, white cut chicken, tong sui, etc.. You just can't eat all the delicacies. Too many. Famous streets like shangxiaju is just across the street. Shamian island is just next to the tunnel crossing. The link mall is excellent. It sits above huangsha station. The newly opened yh supermarket has huge variety of fruits n groceries. We bought 8 boxes of 2.5kg cherries! Overall, it's a fantastic experience... Do remember to take taxi to n from airport if you have luggage... Enjoy.

Negative: No escalators in tunnel. The hotel itself has lifts. Some smokers around but that is to be expected. No smoke in room.
