Positive: This seems to be a very new hotel that just opened, It looked like some work is still being underway (there was no construction noise or such) and things are just settling. So I want to stay fair but I think some things should be mentioned for the next guests. The owner who speaks English wasn't present but his mother was as she lives in the same building. You see, this is a little family run business. The mother tried her best to help me and even though she only speaks Mandarin and I don't she continued talking and explaining things. With the help of Google Translator we managed to understand each other fairly well. It was a sweet encounter. The room and the bath was clean. The bath is quite spacious and well equiped with a nice shower. The location is ideal to get to the airport quickly. I preordere an Uber the evening before for 160$ and it took me about 10-13 min to Terminal 2. There is a 24/7 shop nearby (of course), and even a night market some 1.3km walk away though I didn't visit it and went to a small local restaurant on the way. From the nearby Metro station Dayuan I also suggest taking a yellow cab (~80-90$).

Negative: Even though on Booking.com it says no cash accepted it was the only payment method they accepted as the didn't have a card machine yet. I hope this changes quickly. I didn't have enough cash anymore as I tried spending it all before my departure and I didn't want to withdraw cash again just for this one payment. I agreed with the owner on the phone that I send him the money via PayPal which he was grateful for. I had a family room with a wide bed and a bunk bed since there was no smaller room left. While my bed had a normal mattress and was quite comfortable the bunk beds only had a kind of futon which was extremly hard. I can't imagine that any kid can sleep on something like that. I just hope they replace it with normal mattresses, then it would be a perfect deal for a family of up to 4.
